Course Overview

This is a rope access technician who is capable of complete responsibility for rope access safety in work projects; is able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of Levels 1 and 2; is conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation; has an extensive knowledge of advanced rigging and rescue techniques; holds an appropriate and current first aid certificate and has knowledge of the IRATA training, assessment and certification scheme.

Course Objective

During the 5 day IRATA Level 3 course you will become confident in rope access site supervision and safe systems of work. You will gain the skills that you need to lead a team safely and efficiently in an industrial rope access contracting situation. This course covers additional legislation and advanced rigging and rescue techniques.

Course Certification

Certificates are issued by IRATA following successful completion of the assessment on the final day of the course. They are valid for 3 years from the date the course is passed.

Course Prerequisites

Level 3 - Minimum 1 year and 1000 hours as a L2. All hours must be written in the candidates logbook and signed off by the supervision from the work. Candidates must ensure that their current qualification is valid on the day of assessment. L3 candidates must hold a valid first aid certificate.
